Christmas With The Girlies 2003-2013

I was looking at the picture that I took of the girlies last night in their Christmas jammies and I thought, "Wow, they look so grown up!" This, of course, sparked a need for a nostalgic trip down memory lane, which I decided to share here so everyone can oooh and ahhh over how much my babies have grown.

2003 - Canyon Lake, TX
This was our first Christmas as a family of 4, so our first sisters picture.

2004 - Laughlin AFB, TX
Who can get a 4 year old and a 21 month old to sit still and pose nicely for a picture on Christmas morning? Obviously not me. LOL

2005 - Davis Monthan AFB, AZ
Our first ever Christmas without Daddy. We were able to open presents together over the phone from Korea and he came home shortly after Christmas for his mid-tour.

2006 - Davis Monthan AFB, AZ
I can't remember what those things were called, but man did they go nuts for them!

2007 - Davis Monthan AFB, AZ
Happy to have Daddy back from Afghanistan for this one. One of the girlies' more luxe Christmas Eve outfits.

2008 - All Over The Country
The Christmas holidays of 2008 brought a cross-country move, and we celebrated Christmas in AZ, several places in TX, and in TN before ending up in our new home in VA.

 2009 - Poquoson, VA
The girlies' first really cold Christmas ever.

2010 - Poquoson, VA
I have fondly nicknamed this Christmas "Camo-Christmas" because of the amount of camoflauge this and that that came out from under the tree.

2011 - Poquoson, VA
This was the girlies' first ever white Christmas
 2012 - Tucson, AZ
Another Christmas without Daddy, but he was busy delivering Christmas cheer to the Taliban

 2013 - Tucson, AZ
Merry Christmas from the Hargis Girlies!

That Competitive Edge

As the season came to a close for our Cowboys football teams, competition season started up for my cheerleaders. We started off here in Tucson for the Southern Arizona Cheer Championships. The girls did really, really well and we placed second in all southern AZ.

Summer and Emma

The routine from the coach's box. Summer is the left base in the right rear stunt group.

2nd place!!!

2 weeks later we headed to San Diego, CA for the Desert Pacific Regional Cheer Championships. We put that 2 weeks to good use, increasing out difficulty and picking apart the routine and cleaning up all the little mistakes.

Road Trip!

The view from our hotel was pretty awesome

A soak in the Jacuzzi was exactly what the doctor ordered after a 7 hour bus ride!

Saturday was our fun day at Sea World. I don't have any pics from it, but Paige, who is terrified of roller coasters, faced up to her fear and rode the Manta. I was so proud of her for not freaking out!

Sunday it was time to get serious! Here is a cell phone video of our routine. Sorry that it's such poor quality. I should be getting a better one in the mail shortly, so I will post it when it comes in.

We were the last team to perform during the morning session, so we didn't have to wait long for the awards ceremony.

Desert Pacific 10U Regional Champions WITH a bid to the Nationals in Orlando!

I could not be prouder of this girl!

Awesome! Oh Wow! Like Totally Freak Me Out! I Mean Right On.....

Well, it's that time of year again. Cheerleading is in full swing at Casa de Haggis. I am head coaching for the first time this year so I am unable to inundate y'all with pictures like I usually do. I simply don't have the time to take any! Grrr! Thursday was picture day, so since Summer was all dolled up I decided to whip out my phone and snap a few shots of my own.

I couldn't resist getting a little Texas in one!

Can't take pics of Summer without at least one duck face.

This one kills me. She looks so grown-up. Espacially considering.....

She looked like THIS when this whole crazy train left the station.

Oh, and I realize that I haven't posted anything in two months. Bad blogger, no cookie!

Rollin' With The Bulldogs

While in Afghanistan, a bunch of the guys (including Den) got together and decided that, when they got back, they were all going to buy dirt bikes and go riding together. Fast forward a few months and here we are. The girlies were at camp this past weekend, so Den and I decided to take the Ranger out together instead of just Den on his dirt bike and join the other guys on a ride. We had so much fun getting dirty and I got to take some great pictures, which you all know I love love love to do!

Zoom, Roid, Rolex, Cheech, and Snapper - This one sums up these guys pretty well.

Love this one!
