Steele Aquatics

Paige is a sophomore at Byron P. Steele High School here in Texas. She was very excited to get back to swimming competitively for her school. Her first year swimming at Sabino was such a great experience for her and I have no doubt that her next three years here at Steele will be as well. They have a growing program with a very promising new-to-the-district coach. She seems to really care about our kids and definitely knows her stuff! Steele is a very academically and athletically challenging school and the community support is awesome!

Love these signs for all the athletes, dancers, cheerleaders, etc.!

Knights Swimming and Diving

We are new to morning practices this year. Paige has to be in the pool by 6:30, which is definitely an adjustment for our night owl.

On top of three weekly morning practices, there are also after school dry land conditioning sessions as well. That makes for some VERY long days sometimes - in the pool by 6:30 in the morning and not home until 5:30 in the evening. So far she is handling it like a champ and the girl is putting on some MUSCLE! I had to order her FFA jacket a size larger to accommodate her swimmer's shoulders!

We are very excited to see what happens as Paige continues to grow as a swimmer!

Back In Action

Well, it's been a while since I posted anything, but I'M BACK!!!! The HaggisFame had a busy summer with our move from Tucson to San Antonio, getting acquainted with a new city and building a house. It's the last day of September now, and I can officially say that we are mostly settled into our new lives here in Texas. There are still a few boxes left to unpack and pictures to hang, but life is settling down into a comfortable rhythm now. I am excited to get back to Bluebonnets And Haggis. Instead of stressing out and trying to back post all the fun we had this summer, I am simply going to start fresh from where we are today. There are a few blog challenges that have come my way recently, so stay tuned for some fun!
