See The Savings - Week of 4/14

This week there's a bit less on See The Savings. Den is home on his R&R so I am spending a lot more time with him and a lot less time couponing. I did manage to squeeze in trips to CVS and Walgreens while he was busy doing some yard work.

CVS
My trip to CVS this week was super successful. The full retail value of the items above that I purchased was $44.88. Here's a breakdown of what I bought and how I saved.

2 x Hershey Bar 6 Packs - $10.98 ($5.49 each)
On sale for 2/$8.00
- $3.00/2 coupon that printed from the CVS Coupon Center
- $1.00/2 Printable Coupon
= $4.00 for both packages

4 x Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers (I LOVE THESE) - $19.96 ($4.99 each)
- 4 x $1.50/1 Printable Coupons
= $13.96 for all 4 ($3.49 each)
(Plus I got $5.00 back in ExtraCare Bucks to use on my next trip)

Colgate Max Fresh 6 oz. Toothpaste - $3.00
- $2.00 coupon that printed from the CVS Coupon Center
- $0.50 Manufacturer's Coupon from the Newspaper
= $0.50

2 x Nivea Shave Gel - $8.38 ($4.19 each)
- $3.00/2 Printable Coupon
= $5.38 for 2 ($2.69 each)
(Plus I got $5.00 back in Extra Care Bucks to use on my next trip)

U by Kotex 18ct. Pantyliners - $1.57
- $2.00 coupon that printed from the CVS Coupon Center
- $1.00 Manufacturer's Coupon from the Newspaper
= $1.43 Money Maker

Wet & Wild Nail Polish - $0.99
-$1.00 Manufacturer's Coupon from the Newspaper (adjusted down to $0.99)
= FREE

I also used a 20% off CVS Shopping Pass that I got from their weekly ad in the Sunday newspaper, which took off an additional $6.19.

I used $17.00 worth of ExtraCare Bucks from a previous trip and paid a whopping $0.53 for everything pictured above plus got $10.00 to use next time, for a savings of 98.8%!


Walgreens
I didn't have QUITE as successful a trip at Walgreens as I did at CVS, but it would be hard to duplicate those savings! I did have a 15% Shopping Pass that was emailed to me for being a rewards card member. Total retail value was $70.78. Here's the breakdown.

(Plus I got 200 points on my Rewards Card. This was my first time couponing at Walgreens, so I'm not sure how the points work just yet.)

I paid $43.38, of which I will get $31.96 back in rebates for a grand total of $11.42 plus $16.00 in Register Rewards to use next time. 

And to add to the savings, I picked up Subway on my way home and used a coupon from the newspaper to get a free 6" sub for an additional savings of $4.25!
