Ch...Ch...Ch...Changes

Back in 2012 when we bought Casa de Haggis, we slowly but surely started making it our own. It's one of my favorite parts of moving. Now that it's time for a new adventure and the house is on the market, I thought it would be fun to take a little trip down memory lane. I pulled the original listing photos from when we bought the house and the corresponding photos from our current listing to look at side by side.

There weren't any bathroom pictures in the original listing, but, since I kind of love our bathrooms, I'll just go ahead and show them off.

This back yard is one of my favorite places in the whole world. I will really miss this back yard!

And finally, The Front Yard Then....

And The Front Yard Now....

This has been such and amazing house and we have created so many wonderful memories in the short time we have lived here. I hope with all my heart that it is as happy a home for the next family as it has been for ours.

Now It's Time To Say Goodbye To Jed and All His Kin....

The wait is over! Casa de Haggis will be packing up and moving to beautiful Randolph AFB in San Antonio, TX. We are over the moon excited at the chance to return home and allow our girls to finish out their schooling years near family, something they have never had. For those of you who don't know, Dennis is from San Antonio, and in fact, his mother lives within minutes of Randolph AFB. We were married in Chapel 1 at Randolph and Randolph was also Dennis' very first duty station. We will truly be coming full circle!

That being said, we are only 10 weeks out from heading to Texas and I am behind the curve already!!! I think today shall be list making day!!! Maybe, somewhere the the hustle and bustle of the next few weeks, I'll find some time to blog about it.

I did learn something new today from a gal in one of the Facebook groups I follow. Military One Source will allow you to put it your present duty station, your gaining duty station, and your departure date and will customize a day to day calendar/to do list that you can print out! Where was this on our last 6 moves???

According to my freshly printed handy dandy calendar, today I should be arranging temporary lodging here at DM. Hmmm, that would be nice to do - if our orders had been cut, which they haven't. Last Friday I should have decided what to do with my house plants. HAHAHAHAHA! Check! I inadvertently kill everything green that I attempt to put in the ground or a pot! Next Tuesday we should have a family meeting and discuss our teens' issues. My teen has made her issues abundantly clear, repeatedly, so I guess we can call that one a check. It also says that I should be having a yard sale on Monday. Who has a yard sale on a Monday? While I think this calendar is a smashing idea, it is going to need a little tweaking to work for us. Still, it's nice to have!

I suppose it's time to log off and dig out my PCS binder. Time's a wasting!

CHEERSPORT Phoenix 2015

After AYC cheer was over this year, Summer decided to give All-Stars a go. Our local gymnastics school has an All-Stars team and Coach Steven decided to build a half-year exhibition team as well. It seemed to be a good fit for Summer, so we went ahead and jumped in. The team definitely had it's growing pains and I will say for the record that Steven is a much nicer coach than I am. (Probably why he gets paid. LOL) They managed to out together a great routine and took CHEERSPORT Phoenix head on!

I had my own issues at the competition. I forgot to charge my camera battery the night before, so, of course, it died after only one picture. Then my phone died mid-recording of the routine. Mom of the year here, folks. Thankfully, I have an awesome daughter who lent me her camera and an equally awesome friend that sent me the video she took. Sorry for the fuzziness of some of the pictures, I was using a camera that I was not familiar with and had the settings all wrong. These are actually the BEST of the shots I took.

Monsoon All-Stars take the mat!

Love these three! They were my girls for AYC.

Since they were an exhibition only team, they weren't in competition for trophies, but they did get some nifty medals!

And finally, here is the video of their performance! I think miss Summer has caught the All-Stars bug, so I have a feeling this will not be our last competition!
